Hurricane Rafael – Update #2 FINAL
November 08, 2024 22:00 CST
Shell Deepwater Gulf of Mexico Operations
(ISSUED AT 22:00 CST) Shell continues to actively monitor Hurricane Rafael in the Gulf of Mexico. With the decision by another operator to shut in the Conger field, we have now shut in our Salsa asset. Previously, we had moved non-essential personnel from our Appomattox, Vito, Ursa, Mars, Auger, Stones, Enchilada and Salsa assets and safely paused some drilling operations. We currently have no other impacts on our production across the Gulf of Mexico.
We will continue to monitor weather reports and respond accordingly. As always, the safety of our people, the environment and our assets is Shell’s top priority.
